Archimedys screw is now conveying successfully thin, raw potatoes slices in U-form stainless channel in 30⁰ angle upwards.
Earlier this was impossible with steel screws because it damages slices.
3500 mm long screw conveyor was made of Ø 230 right hand Archimedys screw modules, pitch is 200 mm.
Nevalan Peruna Oy has self assembled in few minutes the conveyor. They made self also the stainless channel for it.
